Update May 26

It has been extremely busy lately and I have not really been able to work on side projects or to move forward much on my learning.

Quick update, this is where I am at now:

  1. Day 56 of the 100 Days of Python course
  2. Finalising a Linux Admin course (another one!)
  3. Going though a BASH command line hands-on with this video

On 1. I am really trying hard to stick to the learning journey. Let’s be real for the job I do now stopping at day 50 of Python would be enough! I originally learned Python to be able to play with the python AI frameworks and to demonstrate some OCI Python SDK which I do now, no problem. That aside I feel it is important for me to continue since the course touch upon database, data manipulation, files, and web.

On 2. and 3. I recently went to a prospect and I had to setup some sort of on-prem appliance running a Fedora like system. It was great because all my hard work paid off: I was able to get the set-up on its feet quickly, debug, ask the correct networking & security questions, identify where were the blindspots etc… But on a less positive note I eventually hit a couple of bash scripts leaving me scratching my head, hence the reason why I added the BASH command line hands-on on my “to-learn” list.

Talk soon.
